Some of us Still Love Digital Image Pro!

I have CS3 and I use it for a lot of things but when it comes to drawing my little critters and flitters, nothing is as simple and as much fun as my Digital Image Suite 2006. I have had every version since the first Picture It and all of the versions except one for sure (I took it off my PC...it was messing everything up) and perhaps 2 have been exceptional. The only problem is that the first versions started out with the working file having .mix extension and one or two versions lowered the resolution if you cropped the photos. I had to figure out a workaround for that. But overall, through the the years since 1998 or so, it has been a great program, cost effective and user friendly. I was so sad that they were discontinuing it and going for some fancy smancy high priced software.

Most of my drawings are done in this program but I am trying to do more and more in CS3 in case my beloved DIP stops working on all the upgraded systems, etc. I love CS3 for designing backgrounds and using various effects, brushes and plug ins.

DIP does such a wealth of things in such an easy way. It is a big loss to those of us who have loved and supported the program for many years.

I'm practicing learning to draw...

I hope you don't mind my practicing on you! LOLl I 've always loved to draw even though I've never been good at it. I was just good enough to survive my elem ed art courses and get fairly good grades in them. I have the imagination but I don't have steady hands. I have a tremor that makes it hard to draw strong and straight lines. That's the beauty of computer drawing! That's also why you will see that most things I create are done with simple shapes.

It's so nice to be able to draw a straight line with the help of a computer mouse! I hope you can use some of my little sketches and I'd love to see them if you use them in a project.
